So far, I've changed the dizzy cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Still no start, so I've been working on the fuel system. She starts like a dream on ether, so at least the sparky bits are good.

Past that, I've ordered a new fuel pump relay and a set of injectors, swapped in a known good relay/ECU set, and she's not starting. However, I'm about 80% sure it's injectors now, since I am getting some fuel pressure when I crack the CSI line. I also threw a noid light on the #1 and the CSI plugs, and both are getting signal. I may throw the pressure gauge on before I go to bed tomorrow morning, just to see if I'm getting good fuel pressure. (Factory spec: 36psi, +- 3psi)

I'm NOT looking forward to pulling the fuel rail, though. Even if I do have a brand-new set of Renault Fuego injectors that will be here on my next day off...

Anyway, have a pic of the parts pile I have yet to install.

She's going to be astounding when you finish her. +1 for determination.

She will, indeed. Also, just in case you do get into a Spider with fuel injection again.. The Fuego injectors flow 10cc more, have the same resistance spec and are half the cost.

I don't think I've had a car worm its way into my heart as fast as the little Spider, though. This includes one RX-7 and three Volvos that I brought back from death, too.

Did somebody say Cibie?

Cibie!

Seriously, I'm sold on Cibies since I dropped a set of Cibie quad squares in my old Volvo 740 sedan, and it made a world of difference.

My 77 280Z ran Hellas; my '83 240D ran Hellas; my '81 Peugeot 504D ran quad Marchals (still have them); my Midget until recently ran Marchals but I took them out for Hellas when I found the Marchals are rather valuable now. But the Hellas didn't look 'right'...so I snagged this pair of Cibies to replace them...a more 'period' look I think.

And my my 280Z I had a pair of Marchal driving lights tucked up inside the valence panel and tied to the high beams. Never ever lost a game of 'dimmit dammit' :)

I would love a pair of Marchals, but I'm afraid to submit my wallet to that level of torture. (At least, not yet... If I had a Dino or an early Spider, maybe.)

My Volvo 740 sedan was good at the "dimmit dammit" game, too. 70w H1s in the inner high beams, with 12 gauge wire and dedicated 40A relays to ensure victory. The Mazda3 isn't bad at it either, with a pair of HIR1s (9011) in the high beams, but it needs rally lights to really be victorious.

I'd really like to have a second spider to do the below to, though...

The Marchals I want are the Ampliluxes...but they're quite deep and I'm not sure they'll fit in my headlight mounts.
